First, after a hiatus of several years, the Not Dead Yet website will be going live! Instead of being redirected to this blog, the URL www.notdeadyet.org will take you directly to an updated Not Dead Yet website. It kind of works that way now, but the current URL will change a bit in ways that are unimportant in terms of actually accessing the site.
That brings me to the second major change.
This is the last blog post that will be published at this URL address. This blog is moving!
Most of the work in terms of moving the blog has been done already. All of the posts - and comments - will be available through the NDY website. The latest posts will be on the front page.
If you have bookmarked the current URL for the blog, don't panic - you'll be redirected to the website and the current blog posts.
If you subscribe to email alerts of new posts, that should still function.
If you're accessing this blog through Networkedblogs, that should continue to function as well.
If all goes according to plan, the first new post will be up at the new location this Friday (June 22).
One change for old posts - for complex technical reasons, exporting new comments to the new site is awkward and time-consuming. While a few people do post comments to older blog posts, they are few and far between. To make things easier, I am shutting off new comments for old posts - including this one. New posts on the new site will have the same commenting format as this one - although I should inform y'all ahead of time, that the new site operates on Wordpress.
